I'm blogging twice in a week! So proud of that fact haha I have once again been kicked out of the house for a showing, so I met my pastor at Starbucks for a little chat, went to Target, and now find myself in Barnes & Noble. Sitting next to little old ladies who are having a cute book club or study of some sort. It's really charming and I hope I do things like that when I'm older.
There's a song that I was listening to on the way here by Page CXVI called "You Have Redeemed My Soul." The band didn't write it, but they basically redo old hymns and put a new spin on them, and they do a great job. The lyrics of that song always stick with me for days after I listen to it:
"I was a hungry child, a dried up river
I was a burned out forest
And no one could do anything for me
But You put food in my body
Water in my dry bed
And to my blackened branches
You brought the springtime green of new life"
That is exactly how I feel a lot of the time... That I am dried out and burned out and have nothing left. But He is the healing source that fills me up and makes me alive again. I am still searching for that on a lot of days. I struggle often. But I feel the effects of living water when I am in Him and let Him do work in me.
